Ayla Bell Reynolds

Ayla Bell Reynolds

Ayla Bell Reynolds was 20 months old when she was reported missing from her father’s residence in Waterville, Maine on December 16th, 2011. Within months of investigating, law enforcement ruled out all possibility that Ayla was abducted from the home or left of her own accord. Police believe the adults in the home have not been forthcoming with important information. Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the disappearance and probable homicide of Ayla Reynolds to this day.

The search for Ayla was the largest search for a missing person in Maine state history, and the third-largest in United States history.  In 2017, a court order declared Ayla Reynolds legally dead, and indicated her death occurred on or around Dec. 17, 2011. No one has yet been charged in her disappearance or death, and the case remains open.
